Have you ever come to somebody’s house where everything is nice and tidy, no clutter. You know what I mean you see pictures of those on blogs everywhere, there is no washing lying arond no toys to trip over.
I will tell you now I am not of those people who has a natural ability to get my house looking like this, it takes lots and lots of effort but every now and then I get little glimpses of it so it is definately worth persuing.
So over the last couple of weeks I have slowly started to go through draws and cupboards. First eliminating everything that was damaged; those plates with the chip in it had to go and the clothes with stains that are never coming out, they are all gone.
The following project over the next couple of months will be tackling every room in the house one by one and then I will take some pretty pictures and show you here 🙂
Feeling the mood to getting some stuff done yourself today, here is a great article to get you started by Zen Habits 18 Five-Minute Decluttering Tips.
I have mentioned the website many times on this blog but I thought it was time to actually get the book “The happiness project: by Gretchen Rubin. So I have ordered it online but unfortunately it will tae 7-14 days to get to me 😦 Oh well I will just keep following the blog and write here for your entertainment.
Did you read the Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin? I would love to hear what you think of it.
So you might have seen I started a new page that’s called Every day happiness inspired by an post on the Happiness project about making sure you do a couple of things every day even if you do not have time to do anything else. So I am starting this process slowly since I really would like to commit to this plan and not make it feel like a chore.
So today was good I did all the things on my list although I realised after I wrote the list I do not have any organic daycream with me (I am away on vacation as we speak) so this one will have to wait a couple of days.
In my effort to throw stuff away, cause I really have way too much stuff and feel that that can weigh me down as well, I threw away an old towel with hairdye stains in it.
After finishing “Eat, Love, Pray” this afternoon I have decided to make some changes to my life as it is. I used to love Yoga and Meditation but somehow life has gotten in the way. So it is time to start again and make time for the things that make but also keep me happy!
A beautiful and inspirational movie. Love the music by Eddie Vedder too! 🙂
